Biography

Politics

Yamine Monizi's political commitment has its roots in a deep spiritual vocation. During a moment of prayer at La Compassion Church, Pastor Marcelo spoke prophetic words of leadership over him. This spiritual experience was decisive and revealed in him a call to serve society and contribute to the transformation of the nation. Conscious of this responsibility and in search of learning, he took his first steps in university politics, where he was elected President of the students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the Protestant University of Congo. This experience forged his sense of leadership, dialogue and representation of collective interests. Driven by the will to act on a larger scale, he joined the AREP political party, under whose banner he ran in the 2023 municipal elections. Elected municipal councillor in the Lemba constituency, in Kinshasa, he works for good local governance, citizen participation and the sustainable development of his municipality. In continuity with his civic engagement, he was appointed voluntary ambassador to the Presidency of the Republic, contributing to the promotion of citizen innovation, change of mindset and values of responsibility among Congolese youth.

Business

Trained in business sciences from his university career, Yamine Monizi early developed an entrepreneurial culture rooted in the management and performance of organisations. During his studies, he cut his teeth in the family company ISI SARL, where he first worked as a counter agent. This field experience allowed him to understand operational realities, customer relations and the day-to-day running of a business. Over the years, he moved up to the position of management controller, where he contributed to cost optimisation, improved financial performance and strengthened internal control mechanisms. Today he holds the position of financial director, putting his expertise at the service of the company's structuring and strategic growth. Through his contribution, the organisation has consolidated its positioning and developed its investments in key sectors, including real estate, construction, travel, advertising and transport. With a rigorous, sustainability-oriented financial vision, he helps make this family business a dynamic emerging structure contributing to national economic development.

Education and scientific world

Yamine Monizi's academic path is marked by scientific rigour and a constant quest for knowledge. He completed his primary and secondary education at Collège Saint-Raphaël, where he obtained his state diploma in mathematics-physics. He went on to study at the Protestant University of Congo, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration and economic sciences, before obtaining a licence in business administration, option finance, banking and insurance. In a drive for professional development, he is currently pursuing a professional Master's degree in business management at the Haute École de Commerce of the University of Liège, with modules focused on accounting, audit and entrepreneurial marketing. Keen to strengthen his technical and linguistic skills, he has taken accounting training at the Centre Permanent de la Comptabilité du Congo, as well as English language training at the Congo American Language Institute. Alongside his academic path, he is involved in passing on knowledge as a university assistant in finance. In this capacity, he assists professors in teaching finance-related courses at several higher education institutions, including the Protestant University of Congo, the Université Moderne de Kinshasa and Leadership Academia University. A researcher in economics and public governance, he is the author of a scientific article on the impact of local and municipal elections on the development of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is also conducting research on the mobilisation of urban tax revenues, in particular the impact of property tax and rental income tax collection by the city-province of Kinshasa, a study currently in progress.

Literature

Driven by a deep conviction that the Democratic Republic of Congo is going through a systemic crisis affecting public governance and weakening institutions, Yamine Monizi observes that many actors in power find themselves trapped in a system that fosters abuses and undermines the general interest. By engaging in politics, he became aware that acting alone in the face of such a complex system remains insufficient. This reality reinforced in him the certainty that the country's sustainable transformation depends on the emergence of a new generation of leaders of integrity, guided by ethical values, a high vision of the common good and a faith capable of inspiring public action. It is from this perspective that he wrote his first book, Young Leader. Through this book, he offers benchmarks, principles and practical tools for young people who wish to embrace leadership with responsibility and integrity. The work is intended as a call to commitment and hope, affirming that the future of Congo is built by a conscious, trained and determined youth, committed to serving with loyalty and vision.

Philanthropy

Christian leader and philanthropist, Yamine Monizi places human dignity, solidarity and hope at the heart of his action. His initiatives for the most vulnerable and his support for young leaders illustrate a vision of progress rooted in human values and the long term. His Christian faith inspires his commitment to the common good and guides his daily actions.
